Default Are the eps. on tv land cut?

I have a bunch of episodes i taped in the mid 1980s off local tv 22 here in pitsburgh and when compared to ones that were shown on family channel and FX,those shows on fx and family were cut up ,my shows run about 23-24 min without opening credits and closing credits,,so about 26 with them,,just curious,,i have every episode, not all from 22 but most a few from family channel and i also have the pilot ep of bat girl vs the giant moth

Welcome to the boards!

I don't know if I can help you answer that question, but I'll certainly try. I don't think the episodes on TVL are uncut. I bet you have a few snippets here and there.

I remember reading something about My Favorite Martian. You remember that show that used to come on TVL? It had Bill Bixby and Ray Walston in it. Anyway, they used some sort of process to speed up the film and I think it minimized cuts. They would cut out a few lines, I think. The speeding the film helped eliminate the major cuts.

Um, I'm not sure if they use that same process for Batman. Maybe Pavandbal will stop by and answer your question. He knows more about it than I do. Maybe someone else can jump in and go into the answer a bit more.

Welcome to the Boards!

I finished timing one the episodes off TV Land, and it looks as if they aren't uncut, including opening and closing credits, it was almost about 22 minutes long.

I think; I'm not 100% sure, but the SPACE channel in Canada shows Batman, and I think it's uncut.

I don't live in Canada, but I've been told it airs on SPACE, and was just recently told they air shows uncut. Space is basically a classic (as far as I know; which isn't much) Sci-Fi network.

There's a scene from "The Joker Is Wild" that I remember from The Family Channel and it was gone on TV Land.

When the Joker is telling all his henchmen to come out of the comedian's statues, he says "W.C. Fields, come come." I remember that line and when I watched the episode it was gone, and I was mad.

The Batman episodes on Tvland are chopped just as they were on FX, Family Channel etc... Out of these, Family Channel did the least amount of editing.
