I'm searching for episodes of I Love Lucy or Andy Griffith with their original openings and/or commercials intact.

I have about 10 such episodes of I Love Lucy and four of Andy Griffith that I have transferred to DVD. I'll be happy to trade any of these for others. I also have the B&W and Colorized versions of the I Love Lucy Christmas Special and the 1958 Desilu Revue Christmas Special all on one DVD.

How in the world would you have original airing of I Love Lucy? VCRs weren't even invented back then.

It's simple. Every CBS Affiliate in the country recieved a 16mm print of every episode to run "in sync" with the network feed incase they lost their feed from CBS's headquarters the show could still be seen. In addition each cast member recieved a print of the show. So over the years these have drifted into collectors hands, many of whom have had them transferred to Video.
