However, he first became a star during his five-season stint on the '80s sitcom "Silver Spoons." The actor will revisit his comic roots during February sweeps when he guest stars on NBC's "Scrubs," playing Paul, Elliot's potential love interest (Sarah Chalke). Recognizing him from the hospital, when they meet at a bar Elliot is smitten, only to have her assumptions challenged the next day when she learns that Paul is a nurse and not a fellow doctor. Schroder's consecutive episodes will air on NBC Thursday, Jan. 30 and Feb. 6 at 8:30 p.m. ET.
