The link below is a website dedicated to the memory of murder victim Kristie Gunderson Lee.
http://geocities.com/missing_kristie/ Unsolved Mysteries aired a segment on the case in early 1997. Those familiar with the case will recall that she was murdered at her Florida home on March 31, 1994. Her husband Jeff was understandably questioned, but was quickly ruled out as a suspect since he was at work at the time of Kristie's death. (It was even surmised that her death might have had something to do with Jeff's past since he used to be involved in drugs.) Speculation of a bungled burglary was looked into because Kristie had a habit of leaving one of the doors open. But it turned out that nothing was taken from the home (other than Kristie's life), so that theory was weakened. Kristie's parents-in-law (Jeff's mother and stepfather) were (and probably still are) considered potential suspects in Kristie's death, and for good reason: The bad blood between her and the in-laws was no secret. In addition, they refused to take a polygraph test, leading Jeff to speculate that they might know something about the murder. Personally, I think that either the parents-in-law were involved in Kristie's murder, or they know who was. But in any case, all we basically know is that Kristie Gunderson Lee has been dead for almost nine years, and her unknown killer or killers are still out there somewhere. Justice may have been delayed in this case, but let's pray that it doesn't get denied. |

I was just now watching this segment for 8 billionth time, and wanted to see if anything has changed in her case, still no one arrested for her murder?!
How can that be? I mean,we know it's the in-laws. Hell, their own son thinks his parents did it! So why have there been no arrests made,no more possible suspects? This case is one of those ones that really frustrate me. There should be an arrest made,it's been so long, and they did have enough evidence to at least narrow down the suspects with. Arrrg! Anyone know anything different about this case? I couldn't find anything as of recently. |

Today is the 25th anniversary of Kristie Lynn Gunderson Lee's murder. After all this time, nobody has been charged. It's hard to know who exactly killed Kristie unless DNA from another person can be found. The in-laws are the most likely suspects, given that they disliked Kristie, made life hard for her and placed themselves at the apartment during the time Kristie met her death. Jeff, maybe in one of his drug-fueled rages, could have killed her too. The saddest thing is that Kristie was murdered, no one has been charged with her murder and her son Zachary grew up without a mother. Hopefully someone out there knows the truth and will eventually come forward, even after 25 years.
If anyone would like to pay their respects, here is a memorial for Kristie: https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/...istie-lynn-lee |
