Two different opening themes? - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

I don't have any episodes taped, but if some of you might have the first one then perhaps you can confirm or deny my foggy (froggy?) memory:

In most episodes, the opening them lyrics end with "Green Acres we are there!", but I seem to think in the first (and maybe 2nd?) episode, the lyric was sung as "Green Acres here we come!" since in the 1st episode most of the action takes place at the Douglas' apartment in New York city and they have yet to move to Hootersville.

Am I nuts or did this first episode really have a different lyric?

i dont know froghead but i think that you are wrong i think it was always green acres we are there

The lyrics are the same in all episodes.

But, there are two different versions of the theme song on the various episodes. When Lisa talk/sings "I just adore a penthouse view," there is a definite difference in the way she says "adore." The DVD set has one version on some episodes, and the other version on others.

No.... It was always "Green Acres, we are there!"
