Default I just remembered Ron Glass in....!!!

Two shows: One called Teen Angel where he played God or something, and showed up as a head, and in Family Matters where he played a snobbish actor! I had forgotten all about that! Does anyone else remember that?

Sorry about the tangent; I don't really watch a lot of TV, so when the above came to my brain, I was really surprised! haha!

Cool

Was teen angel on fox a long time ago? I remember something like that, seeing the commercial over and over about jason priestly guest starring or something. You'd think it was the biggest thing that happened that year the way they advertised it.

wish i'd have seen him -- he's cool.

I missed both of these shows. I'm surprised that Ron Glass hasn't gone further in his career because he's so talented. I've seen him guest star on shows, (The Practice) here and there, and I know he does voiceover work, but I think he should have starred in a hit show. He's a powerhouse of talent.
This may seem unbelieveable to us Barney Miller superfans, but Ron Glass is not a household name. I asked about 10 people today if they knew who he was, and only two knew.
Even my husband, who watches the show with me every night (I tape it), said he didn't know who he was until he recently started watching the show.

Thumbs up

Ron Glass is super cool. Even in person he is a nice and friendly man! I saw him while walking in NYC and he was very gracious to me.

I can see that. It doesn't surprise me. Ron Glass is probably the total opposite of Ron Harris egowise.

I saw Ron Glass on a Christmas episode of "Amen" a few weeks ago. They were doing one of those "Miracle on 34th Street" parodies where some guy thinks he's Santa Claus. Ron Glass was playing the prosecuting attorney. It was kind of dumb, but the part when the guy convinced Ron that he actually was Santa Claus was cute. Ron went over and gave Santa a hug, and that right there made me glad I sat through that episode.

Ron Glass was on Sanford and Son playing a scam artist card player. That was aired yesterday or the day before.

I too saw him in several episodes of Amen, and he also guested on the second season of the Bob Newhart Show as an elevator repairman. He and Gregory Sierra were even in an episode of Hawaii Five-O together!

I remember him being in a black version of the Odd Couple in the early 80's. He was the Felix Unger character. I think Desmond (Lamont Sanford) Wilson was the Oscar Madison character. I believe re-runs of that were on TVLAND for a bit some yrs back. I remember seeing it origionally & the re-runs too. It was a good one. I think if I remember right I've seen Ron Glass on some other 70's shows but the names of them escapes me right now. Wait, I think he was the repairmen in the All In The Family episode where the Bunkers get their refrigerator fixed & everyone tells a different version of the story. That was a classic AITF ep...

TV

Ron Glass & Sherman Hemsley starred in a segment of the 1985 Twilight Zone called I of Newton. It runs about 8 minutes and can be viewed on You Tube.

Default I just remembered Ron Glass in...!!

Ron Glass is a fine actor -- The New Odd Couple was a very funny show -- Tony Randall and Jack Klugman were terrific as Felix and Oscar but I thought Ron and Demond were also wonderful -- I hope TV Land will bring put both versions (along with Barney Miller) on their schedule sometime soon.

I thought that show was OK, but not that great. And it lasted for more than a couple episodes; it lasted for about 3 months. And most of the episodes were remakes of the Klugman/Randall one (because of a writers strike at the time). They did make 3 or 4 original episodes, though.

you're right; he was on that AITF episode. He wasn't the repairman though; he was the repairmans helper. And it was just in one version of the story; I think it was Archies.
