I'd have to say Bebe Neuwirth. She's probably not the most famous but she has had success on Broadway and got good reviews for her role in Tadpole.

I would say it is a toss up between Ted, Kelsey, and Woody! Woody hasn't been in ALOT, but he did have some good movies and he was on Will & Grace!

Of course i'm gonna have to say George. From my research he has been in maybe more movies than Ted or Kelsey but they may not be as well known. But hey i might just be saying that because how much i like him. George has a new movie coming out in March on video called "King of the Ants". It's about this house painter turned hitman and is supposed to be a great slaher thriller. later.

Kelsey Grammer has had so much success with Frasier...he is the most paid actor per episode in television history! Danson has continued success, and has managed to escape the role of Sam Malone, something many stars find problems with. Woody Harrelson has made quite the name for himself in movies. All the cast has continued to do excellent things, but these three I believe stand out.

Bebe has had the most versatile career of all, and awards in all different mediums of the business (Tony Awards, Emmy's, Golden Globes, Drama Desks... Fred Astaire Awards! WOOT! GO FREDDIE!). I think the most successful in her own respect is Bebe. As previously stated, she's not the most well known, yet she has fulfilled her dreams and goals and stays true to her heart's desire -- theatre. She doesn't need the big bucks and big name. She's happy in doing what she loves, and to me, that is the biggest success of all.

Kelsey may be the highest paid of them all, and the most well known, however, he has played the SAME character for nearly twenty years. That defeats everything ACTING is about. He has been pigeon-holed. His job is a secure one, but he was trained in the theatre, and he has stated that it was his first love. So, what success has he? Lots of money, a beautiful house, a steady job? Yes, that's success, I suppose, but I think true success lies in fulfilling one's goals and aspirations. Maybe Kelsey's happy where he is, but I'm willing to bet there are many things he regrets in his professional life and the paths he's taken... I'm sure he would have liked to expand his talents and prove himself a true actor, not just Frasier Crane. He *was* one once, you know.

I think the fact that Kelsey's played the same role for 20 years and people are still interested in it proves that he is a successful actor. I feel that its not how much you do that brings you success but how well you do it, and as long as Frasier's around and kickin', it shows that Kelsey's done a great job. Obviously he might have some regrets and definitely things he's not proud of, but dont we all? He's done some other great things besides Frasier, and even if he is typecast as "Frasier Crane" for the rest of his life, he's the only one who has to live with that, and if he's not proud of it, he wouldn't still be doing it.

I wasn't implying that he wasn't wonderful at what he does or that he shouldn't be proud of it, because God knows I'M happy he's still playing Frasier (it's one of my favorite shows). What I *am* saying is, as a fellow performer, I know it's an actor's WORST nightmare to be type cast. It doesn't leave room to grow as an actor and versatility is so key in the industry, because you get to experience so many different aspects. The whole idea of acting is experiencing a catharsis through the variety of characters of whom you portray.

Sure, "Frasier Crane" is wonderful IN THE MOMENT, but what comes after? It's not going to last FOREVER... he'll always be "Frasier Crane" to the world, and as an actor, that is one of the worst things ever. It defeats the whole purpose of acting.

Bebe's biggest fear was to be pigeonholed as the LILITH. She succeeded in straying from the path, yet still stayed true to her character. She gets upset if people call her "Lilith" on the street, because she doesn't feel that was her most successful (aka... fulfilling) role she's played. She found her most successful role to be the part of Velma Kelly in "Chicago" on Broadway. Was she paid as much on this project? I'm going to go with 'no.' Did she receive as much notoriety? Again, I'll go with 'no.' That didn't matter... it was the fulfillment of the challenge and success she earned in doing what she loves most that brought her joy. That, to me, is success. Fulfilling your dreams. Money and fame don't equal success in my eyes (they're just an added bonus).

Bebe's more successful at what she set out to do because she has ACHIEVED what she wanted out of life... Kelsey didn't set out to be "Frasier Crane." He set out to be an actor.

And that's just my humble opinion.

I guess it all depends on your definition of success. For many people, success is measured by the range and varied roles that an actor portrays. In that case, it's Bebe Neuwirth.
Others measure success by fame and fortune. In that case, it's Kelsey Grammer.
Personally, I'd take fame and fortune any day of the week.
