my friend is really nervous she has to have knee surgery. i told her not to be scared. Did you ever had surgery?
I actually had open heart surgery when i was about 3 years old. i was born with a hole in my heart (theres like a name for it, but i cant remember it) yah so i have this big scar across my chest. i also had this piece of plastic put in me too, to help my heart or something. i dunno, im not too bright about this. i was in the hospital alot when i was a child. I also had my appendix taken out cos it like burst or something. i was like 3 months old.My mom was telling me how my skin was turning yellow?!? lol i could've been on the simpsons. I'm in great shape now, but when i was little i had a rough life. I'm lucky to be alive. I had a priest come in and pray for me actually cos at one point i wasnt suppose to make it, but here i am!! i always wondered why they call it open heart surgery? i mean, is it like open house? |

I had surgery on my leg when I was 14. They thought I had a tumor but it turned out to be nothing.

I had surgery on my chest. I have pectis....something. so my chest goes in instead of out and they had to like take out ribs and twist some around, which is gross. but Its not that bad I just can't run for a long time and do competitive sports. and I've had surgery on my pinky, I broke it pretty bad. and I had a big cast too, it sucked cuz it was over the summer and I couldn't go swimming for two weeks.

I had some surgery a year and a hald ago to repair a broken collarbone. I had some pins and wire in there to hold everything together, which required more surgery to remove them later.
The surgery went well, the recovery was painful. Thank God for painkillers!

Last year I had jaw surgery. I didn't do anything to my jaw, it was just that it didn't align with my top jaw. I inherited it from my mother who had the same surgery done at the age of 40. If I hadn't had the surgery done, then eventually the bones in my jaw would have worn away. Literally I would have been slack jawed. Truthfully, it wasn't that painful. I think having my wisdom teeth taken out was more painful. The only thing was that I had to eat using a syringe for about 6 weeks and I could only eat foods that were mushed up.

I had surgery twice on my eyes when I was a baby to uncross them. I had jaw surgery too, in 1988. I had a protruding jaw, they took a piece of bone out of the bottom on both sides and pushed my jaw back. Thank god for painkillers is right. My jaw was wired from April to June. I was 18 when I had that done.
I sure was scared, but it had to be done and I would be better once all the wires came off and the pain went away. I'm sorry that your friend needs surgery and I hope it all goes well. |

I almost had to have surgery. I broke my ankle in two places sprained it and tore a ligament pretty badly. Thankfully I didnt have to have it though phew. I would have been a nervous wreck. I dont do well with that hospital stuff!

I actually just remembered I had surgery on my pinky finger. I broke it playing basketball with my neighbors and it was broken in such a way that if i didnt have surgery it wouldnt heal right. I was in surgery and they were gonna cut my finger open and put the bone in place, but they first tried to rebreak it and fix it and it actually worked, so they never had to go into the finger and the best part was that i was alrighty knocked out in surgery so yay me i had a nice sleep.
