This weekend I was thoroughly enjoying the S&S marathon when I noticed:
In the episode with the cross-dressing criminal renter at Sanford Arms, Bubba says, "I'm Bubba Bexley !!!" I thought it was odd that the character had the same last name as actor Don Bexley, so I checked my handy TV directory and noticed that Bubba's last name was "Hoover." Thus, actor Don Bexley erred when saying the character's name as "Bubba Bexley". This is why I love sitcom reruns... |

Welcome to the boards!
![]() I love hearing little mistakes like that. It's the same way with the Andy Griffith Show. Goober used to have the name of Goober Beasley before they made him Goober Pyle. It's fascinating to catch things like that. |

I think they decided to change it after initially using "Hoover." The reason I say this is because in another episode, the one where Fred's friends and Lamont plan to have Fred's furniture redone in honor of his 40th anniversary in business, Esther calls Bubba that big mouth Bubba "Bexley."
