Tucked my daughter into bed tonight after removing a burned-out light bulb from her light fixture. Stuck it in my mouth so I had both hands free, which of course made us both wonder how they got Fester's light bulb to light up in HIS mouth in either the old sitcom or the new movies. Anybody know, or just trick photography?

The were battery powered, and switched similar to touch lamps of today. Your syliva across the the base contact would change the capacitance (compared to air) to trip the electronic switch and turn it on. |
