Please Help

I am trying to find out the name of a show from the 1960's, that was about a man being frozen in a glacier, and being searched for by his son, who was now older than his father...I think it was set in the cowboy period.....Thanks for any help on this....

I belive the show you're refering to is called "The Second Hundred Years" starring Monte Markham as a man who was frozen in a glacier in 1900 and thawed out 68 years later, who went to live with his sixty-eight year old son(played by Arthur O'Connell) and his 33 year-old grandson (also played by Markham.) The program dealt with the grandfather, who, technichally, was 101 years old, but still looked and acted 33, trying to adapt to the modern world. As I remember it, the show only lasted a season (1967-68).

Thanks, I thought the show was about the son looking for his father, and he was always one town, (and one adventure behind) I could be getting mixed up on the themes between 2 different shows, I was just a kid then....Anyway......Thanks again..

Can you also tell me the name of the show where the father was searching for his father, or visa versa, and always being one town behind..I think it was set in the old west period...I know thats vauge, but thanks for any help....

I could be wrong, but it sounds like you're sort of describing "The Guns of Will Sonnett." It ran from 1967-1969 and starred Walter Brennan as Will Sonnett an ex-calvary officer and scout and Dack Rambo as his Grandson Jeff Sonnett. Jeff's father; Jim Sonnett played by Jason Evers left Jeff to be raised by his Grandpa. Jim had a reputation as a gunfighter and didn't want his Son to be exposed to his lifestyle. One day Jeff asks his Grandpa to help him find the father he never knew. Jim Sonnett was a fast gun but Will Sonnett (who taught his Son and Grandson to shoot) was faster: No brag, just fact; as Will Sonnett would remark about his and his family's skill with a gun. The show dealt with their search and their constant battle with Jim's reputation. Many episodes showed them just one jump away from finding Jim. Usually having missed him by a day or two. Each episode ended with a prayer in the form of a Voice Over by Will Sonnett giving thanks and hopes that one day they will find Jim. On the last episode they find Jim, and Will convinces him that he can't keep running from his past; and that he has to stop and let the world know who he is and that he's not running anymore. So Will, Jim and Jeff decided to settle in a town and live as a family. Will is hired as the Sheriff and Jim and Jeff will be his Deputies. Here's the dialog that opened each episode read by Walter Brennan.
"We search for a man named Jim Sonnett.
And the legends folks tell may be true.
Most call him gunman and killer.
He's my son, who I hardly knew.
I raised Jim's boy from the craddle.
Til the day he said to me "I have to go find my father."
And I reckon that's how it should it be.
So we ride, Jim's boy and me."
