Default Jan. 4th on TV

Hey everyone, this Saturday, Jan. 4th, A&E is repeating that Child Stars special, with Tony Dow and Jerry Mathers among others, at 1:00pm.

Then at 2:30pm, the Oxygen network is showing The Trouble with Harry, an Alfred Hitchcock movie with Shirley Maclaine and a very young Jerry Mathers. I think its repeating on Sunday if you miss it.

Hey, thanks for telling us. I missed it the first time it was on. do you know it that's 1 pm Eastern time? Then it would be 12 for me because I'm in the central time zone. Oh, I can always check in the paper to see the exact time. I"ll have to watch that movie too!

Thanks again, Haskell Girl, for letting us know about this show. I watched it. It was great to see Tony Dow And Jerry Mathers talk about things. TD had a much bigger presence on this show and it was interesting to hear what he had to say about life after Beav.

I think Tony Dow was one of the producers for the special, that's probably why he had a much bigger role. My favorite part is when Veronica Cartwright kissed Jerry Mathers when they were adults, it was so cute! But I loved the interviews as well, it was very interesting. I really think some network, somewhere (with Tony Dow as the producer perhaps) should do a special exclusively on Leave it to Beaver, with interviews of the cast.

I've never seen that Alfred Hithcock movie before. It was strange, but really funny. Jerry Mathers was cute. His hair was a lot lighter than it is now.

I also didnt' realize that Clint Howard is Ron Howard's brother or that Veronica and Angela Cartwright are sisters and Barry and (the other fellow) Livingston were brothers.

And how come Danny Bonaduce was so upbeat about the whole thing? He had one of the harder times of it after the childhood gig. Is he in denial or something?

I watched and taped the entire Child Stars special. I thought it was very good and also sad how some of those child actors had such a hard time. What really freaked me how was when that guy from Lost in Space told about how Alfred Hitchcock whispered a death threat in his hear!! Well, I guess it wasn't a death threat but something like he would be nails in his feet and make them bleed like milk. I didn't see the Trouble with Harry though. Both shows were on at the same time and if I had to tape and watch one I picked the child stars one. I'm sure the movie will be on again or I could rent it if I wanted to.

Ugh. You mean Billy Mumy? Is that the child actor you are talking about?

Yeah, Billy Mumy. Well, I never watched Lost in Space so I wouldn't really know.

I never really watched Lost in Space either. I just know Billy from his guest appearances on the Twilight Zone.
