Default Discussion about TV shows....

This evening at work we were talking about TV shows that we like (there was nothing better to do- it was SLOW day!). Well, apparently my co-workers don't really like the shows I like. They watch "Friends" and love it. I can't STAND that show! Well, to them, I'm a bad person because I hate Friends and because I watch old shows like Leave it to Beaver and The Brady Bunch. Well, I guess some people just don't understand about good classic television! Well, the only show that a girl and I both like is Conan O'Brien. I also like the Osbournes and they hate it!

You got off luckier than I did. Whenever I got into a conversation with someone about the shows the I like and they like, they always look at me like I just grew antennaes or something out of my head.

I'm not that big of a fan of new tv shows either. The only one I like from the year 2002 is Birds of Prey and that's about to go off the air in Jan. 2003. BOP isn't even a sitcom. It's the only now show I like though.

No one likes the shows I like at work either. I enjoy all the wholesome shows such as Beaver, Andy Griffith, Ozzie and Harriet, Brady Bunch, Make Room For Daddy. I honestly dont watch any of the stuff thats on today which makes my taste in shows alot different than my co-workers.

Forgive me for bringing up an older topic, but I've been gone for so long I have to catch up! But anyway, none of my friends like the shows I like. I love LITB, I Love Lucy, Happy Days and The Andy Griffith show. My friends think I'm weird for watching these shows. My friends parents like these shows and when I'm at their houses and their parents are watching these shows, I always watch tv with them and my friends just shake their heads and say "I cant believe youre watching Leave It To Beaver with my dad!" It doesn't bother me though. I like what I like and if my friends dont like what I like, oh well!

on a similar note, i get into conversations with my best friends parents about tv shows, and they know that i just LOVE litb! So, a lot of times they'll ask me about somethign, and even for halloween (as some of you remember) me and jessica (that's my best friend) went as june and beaver cleaver... and i have a wally pin on my backpack (of course from his hot days!) and she loved it so i bought her one off of ebay for xmas and her parents think we're funny, but we both think he's hotter than heck! Anyways, she doesn't care when i talk leave it to beaver and other classic shows that they always liked with them, she infact finds it hilarious... but i personally think that with my outgoing and "sick minded" personality, these classic shows bring out the best in me... and for heaven sakes, they probably have prevented me from becoming a raging alcoholic teen or a druggie! And just for the record, i LOVE the osbornes! they truely are hilarious and they rock... and i usually only watch regular shows that are on The WB or i love 8 simple rules for dating my teenage daughter... that show's the best! specially becuase of john ritter!

Hey, I know what you mean about your friends parents like the same shows! Well, I was talking to my friend on the phone once and I was watching LITB at the same time. I just told her I was watching LITB now and she's like "Oh, no! My mom LOVES that show!!" lol. I thought it was funny. Well, my friend can't stand it and gets annoyed when her mother watched it every night! I watched the first few shows of 8 Simple Rules only because I wanted to see John Ritter. Well, he's definitely aged a lot! He's not really the same as in his Three's Company days. He was SOOO good looking then and I watch that show all the time. Too bad the only time it comes on is 2 in the morning. Well, I think it's on TNN like at 10 am but I'm sleeping then. I'm such a night owl! Well, it would be nice if it was on in the afternoon.
