I saw this last night during the marathon. How amazing to see Elizabeth Montgomery with dark hair!

I have that episode on DVD. When I first saw it I couldn't imagine it was the same actress from "Bewitched."

I posted a post over on the Batman board about Batman actors being on TZ. I got into a conversation with Silver Daze and it really is incredible how some of the actors look different with each appearance on TZ. Burgess Meredith looked different in each appearance and Anne Francis had blonde hair during her first appearance and black hair during her second appearance. That is pretty cool how some of them did that.

....Or that in "The Purple Testament", Dick York looks much more scruffy and battle-weary (fittingly- he plays a soldier), and has a slight beard- but in "A Penny For Your Thoughts", he's clean-shaven, well-pressed, and has glasses. But they break (and luckily, he apparently can still read all the books he wanted to
), so in the rest of the episode, he looks just like Darrin Stephens. (Gee. Wonder why. )What other actors looked different in multiple TZ appearances? |

Arlies, I did not remember Dick York having glasses at all in A Penny For Your Thoughts. And to me he looked the same in The Purple Testament as he did on Bewitched. He just acted a lot more serious in that TZ ep. Anne Francis was a real doll in the mannequin ep (seriously, no pun intended) with her blonde hair. I think the dark hair she later had in another TZ ep was just a wig. On an ep of Burke's Law she played Detective Honey West. She had her real blonde hair for most of the ep but at one point put on a black wig. Some guy later ripped the wig right off her in one scene exposing her cute blonde follicles once again.

Like I said, at the beginning of "A Penny For Your Thoughts", he's wearing glasses, which break after he's hit by the car. Then he doesn't wear them for the rest of the episode.
In both of Dick York's TZ roles, yeah, he's recognizable. But between "The Purple Testament" and "A Penny For Your Thoughts", Hector B. Poole looks much more like Darrin than Capt. Riker. |

Hey Jenny, seriously, could you print a picture of Anne Francis from the TZ After Hours ep? She's a lot better looking than Dick York ever was. And could you also print one of her from Jess Bell her other TZ ep (the one she's a brunette in). Let people decide here if they think she's better looking as a blonde or brunette. I vote blonde by far. I hope I got these ep titles exactly right spelling wise.
