Confusing Song Lyrics & Saying Names Wrong! - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

Hi Guys,
All of us (especially early on in our childhood) have heard lyrics to songs that are mumbled or confusing and we think that they are something else than what they actually are!

A lot of us early on have said names wrong!

When I was a little kid, the comody team/singers Sonny and Cher were popular.....I always thought that they were Sonny and CHAIR! hahahaha

At about 5 or 6 I remember calling a "Grilled Cheese Sandwich" a "Girl Cheese Sandwich" LOL!

I can't think of other funny names as a kid but with regard to SONGS!

In the song "Bad Moon Rsing" for YEARS I thought the verse that goes,

"There's a bad moon on the right" was "There's a bathroom on the right!" I still don't know the words after "Don't go out tonight"

I thought about in 7th grade that the Foriegner song "Head Games" when they said "Head Games" they were saying, "That's Gay!"

The song "Rag Doll" by Arrowsmith the verse that goes,

"Rag Doll, living in a movie" to me always sounded like

"Run Down, rent a little movie"

What others can you think of? (Messed up song lyrics or names of things?)

I remember when I first heard Nirvana's "Come as You Are", I was really offended by it. The reason was, there is a verse at the end that goes "when I swear that I, dont have a GUN....." I thought Kurt was saying "God."

Like the 1st time i heard Shut up by Kelly Osbourne, when she says "and theres nothing u can say that means a damn thing to me" and i thot she said "and theres nothing u can say that means sit down and write to me"

i was a very disallusioned child so i have a lot...but the funniest one is in that davy crockett song, the line "killed him a bear when he was only three" or something, I used to think it was "killed BY a bear when he was only three"
it took me a long time to find out what on earth a "levy" is in american pie- i thought it was a car wash or something....

okay I have A TON and No time to sit here and POST them all but one that MY sister did Okay remember that song back in the 80s called "Lost in Emotion"? well my SISTER thought it was "Lost in an Ocean"

When I was little I used to pronounce my name "Getchica," instead of Jessica and I would say, "I want to go hopsching" instead of shopping.

As far as song's go, in the 98 Degrees song where they say, "Give me just one night, uno noches," my cousin thought it was, "Give me just one night, on the doorstep."

Well I grew up thinking that everytime I sneezed I was supposed to say "Bless Shoe"instead of bless you.. even though you dont bless yourself when you sneeze.

My mom said she used to think the words "plastic wrap" were "plasti crap"

When i was 5 i thot the line in jingle bells "in a 1 horse open sleigh" went like "in a 1 horse soap in sleigh"

I used to think the words "fly swatter" were "flys water"

The Bad Moon Rising, bathroom in the right thing had me and everyone going way back when.
There's the song, Louie Louie. Everyone thought it had dirty lyrics.

haha i got a calendar for christmas that has a different misunderstood lyrics and the correct one for every day of the year. for today it was "scuse me while i kiss this guy" which is actually "scuse me while i kiss the sky"
