Did you know Freddie was on Johnny Carson Show 17 times.I found a site that you can search and find the shows with Freddie.It also tells the other guest.I didn`t realize he had been on so many times.www.johnnycarson.com

I remember the first time Freddie was on the Tonight Show. It was really how he got his big break into show business was that appearance. He was hysterical! Johnny told viewers once that Freddie was his all-time favorite stand-up comedian. That's why he had him on so many times. What an interesting trivia tid bit!

I keep wondering where I was back in the mid- to late 70's!!! I used to watch the Tonight Show all the time back then (especially during Christmas and summer vacations), and I don't remember a single appearance Freddie made on there! Not even the first one and definitely not the ones when he was the host! Anyone who has the Best of Johnny Carson videos and would be willing to put Freddie's appearances on blank tapes for me, I would pay for as many as it took to get all of them!

The official Johnny Carson YouTube channel uploaded his first appearance from December 6, 1973. He was only 19 years old. Sammy Davis Jr. was also a guest that night.

In addition to his 17 appearances on the show, he guest hosted 3 times according to IMDb.

May 21, 1974

February 24, 1976 - Joey Bishop guest starred on Chico and the Man on February 25, 1976

September 21, 1976
