Has anyone seen this old episode??

Im looking for any information or hopefully a copy of the episode as I have not yet seen it, but heard alot since it happened about 15 minutes from where I live. This was an older episode, late 89 or very early 90's I believe. it happened in Salem Michigan and it was about a man who murdered his wife (whole family??)
they lived on a farm and I understand she may have been found murdered in their horse barn although Im not sure on that. If anyone knows anything on this old case I would very much appreciate it.

You might be thinking about the 1980 murder of Shannon Mohr-Davis. The segment was first featured way back in 1987 (while UM was being shown only as a series of specials). It wasn't until a year later (in late 1988 or early 1989) when her husnband, David Davis, was captured. He killed Shannon for insurance money. Davis tried to make it look like an accident, but the forensic had a different story. He was convicted of Shannon's murder, and is doing life in prison.

The case was also reenacted for a Court TV series called Forensic Files (the name of the episode is "Horse Play"). The murder also became the basis of a 1993 TV-movie entitled Victm of Love: The Shannon Mohr Story (which has been seen on the Lifetime channel in recent years).

Thanks for writing, I have heard of the Mohr case but dont know alot of the details, Do you by any chance know if it happened in Salem Michigan?? I was told they did the filming in both Salem and a nearby somewhat larger town, South Lyon, for some reason I thought the Mohr case happened elsewhere in Mi. In the Mohr case how was Sharon murdered, please let me know if by chance you know. The place I have been to still stands and there is a barn and horse equip still intact in there. from the looks of it they had race horses, theres an old racing cart half buried rusted away in the back. thanks again for your help.

I don't remember what town it was, but I'm 100 % positive that Shannon Mohr's murder took place in Michigan.

A head injury and injections of a horse tranqulizer contributed to her death.
