Equal Sweetner- It works for me. Believe me, I have very stubborn hiccups. I hold my breath. I drink sips of water. Nothing helps for my hiccups except for the equal sweenter. If you don't have any sweetner in the house, try sugar. Empty the sweetner on your tongue and let it dissolve. Hope it helps for you!

Breathe into a paper bag, stand on your head, or simply hold your breath. Make sure to plug your ears and nose when holding your breath, though.. its more effective this way.

I would suggest you either drink lots of water or hold your breath. Usually, at least one of those would cure the hiccups.
