I never knew before that Jack Albertson played the grandpa in Willy Wonka and the Chocolate factory.My boyfriend pointed that out.Grandpa Joe.Was there other movies he played in?I know million dollar rip off was the only one Freddie was in and if anyone by chance has a copy for sale, please let me know.Thats a hard movie to find.Im sure all us Freddie fans would love to have a copy

Jack was also in The Poseidon Adventure. Not sure if you knew that already.

He and Shelley Winters played a married couple: Belle and Manny Rosen who were planning on visiting their grandkid or kids in Israel when the tidal wave hit.

Everyone in chico and the man was a fine actor/actress. Almost all of the people who appeared as guests were famous stars too. I
guess that's another reason that show was so popular in the 70's (not to mention the main hunk Freddie Prinze). Even yet today when I menion CATM people say "oh yea, that was a good show!" I'd like to get a hold of Della
Reese and ask her a few questions. I understand she was stranded at the Toledo airport in a snow storm when FP shot himself and didn't get to the funeral.

I think Jack Albertson was awesome and Freddie was lucky to have gotten the chance to star in a sitcom with him. (And visa-versa!)
