Has anyone seen this movie with Bill Paxton and Matthew McConaughey? A thriller with a strong religious theme...weird, violent and very scary. I loved it.

We do have very similar tastes in entertainment. The plot of Frailty is too complex to explain. You'll know what I mean when you see it. Bill Paxton directed it. He's underrated as an actor in my opinion.
I suggest that you make it your next rental. Get Unfaithful too while you're at it please, lol.
Did you ever see, The Man Who Wasn't There, with Billy Bob Thornton? I loved that one too.
Frailty is one wild ride though...you gotta see it.
They'll be a quiz on Monday.

I don't think I saw The Man Who wasn't there. I saw Monster's Ball, A Simple Plan and SlingBlade(Which I enjoyed very much)

You'd remember it if you saw it Brian. The Man Who Wasn't There also stars James Gandolfini. Do you like The Sopranos? hahaha j/k.
It was great seeing Gandolfini in another role besides Tony Soprano.
Francis McDormand of Fargo is in the movie as well. I'll bet you loved Fargo.

I think Fargo, Sling Blade and A Simple Plan are of the same genre. Frailty is more like those movies.
The Man Who Wasn't There has that same odd atmospheric style, but not as much. It's set in post WWII, and it's filmed in black and white.
Again, Billy Bob Thornton looks like a totally different person as he does in every movie. The man is a chameleon. It's an old-style murder drama, but more of a character study if you ask me, the character being Billy Bob's.

"Frailty" was probably one of the best movies I rented this year.

I have to give credit to Bill Paxton, who made a great directorial debut with this film. He really should try his hand at directing again. Anyone who can make me sit through a performance by Matthew McConaughey deserves my admiration.

Wasn't too crazy about the ending though, I think nowadays thrillers feel it is nescessary to include a "Sixth Sense" plot twisting ending.

The ending notwithstanding, "Frailty" really does give you the creeps. A good film.
