Default Worst movie of the year-Goldmember!!

i know alot of people love this movie and find it hilarious. I see where they are coming from, but i need to express why i find this movie awful in so many different ways. Please dont take a dumb comment to my opinion, im not saying your taste is bad. im saying i think the movie is bad. anyway here goes:

My Review on Goldmember

i saw this movie in theaters because all my friends wanted to see it and because i loved the 1st one and the 2nd one was good for a sequal. When watching it, everyone around me was laughing their butt off. It was a packed theater and it seemed like everyone around me was enjoying themselves. exept me. i wanted to walk out of the theater a few times. I loved way the movie started off, but soon i got bored and annoyed.

the movie killed its orginal. This one wasnt groovy. Everything about Austin Powers was a joke in this one. I thought i was in the wrong theater.

Beyonce Knowles did a great acting job but in this one, her character seemed to be cut short. She didnt really have a relationship with Austin at all. There was no chemsty. I dont blame her acting, i blame the script. Beyonce is a very good actress, but in this movie, she seemed out of place from the 1st and 2nd movie.

Mike Myers is an excellent actor. and i feel that his acting abilty was very good in this movie. I blame how it was written. not the acting.

Mini Me was a funny character. He was great in the 2nd movie and probably one of the better parts of the movie in goldmember.

Seth Green aka Scott Green was pretty good in this movie. I thought that some of his jokes were better than alot of the movie, but i didnt really understand the whole evil thing. I felt there wasnt a point to go on. I would've rather see him like i did in the 1st two movies.

Dr.Evil i felt was pretty good in the beginning. I felt that his rap was a little much but ok. I thought that he wasnt as good as the first 2. He was more of a joke in this one. or maybe he was more serious in this one.. i dunno, something was missing.

I'm glad to see Fat Bastard wasnt in this one as much. He was only there for about 2-3 scenes. I dont think i couldve sat thru the whole movie with him in every other scene. I didnt mind him in this one. I guess less of Fat Bastard is better.

Goldmember on the other hand, was horrible. His character was annoying. I dont really understand how he was suppose to be any where near funny. I know how a person eating their own skin can be hilarous..or NOT! i felt he was just there to throw jokes in. The plot was there but a little unclear. I understand the plot, Goldmember didnt really have too much to do with it. He kidnapped Austins Father & had this gold metor? i dunno maybe im confused.

Nigel Powers didnt really add any inpact to the movie. I guess he was there for plot reasons. He didnt really try to be too funny, which is more than i can say for the rest of the cast. He didnt bother me, but he didnt really do much for the movie itself.

The Mole. The guy with the mole was probably the only part i think i liked. I thought it was over done, but it was still funny. I that was the only truely postive thing i can say about the movie and still... thats just sad.

The rest i posted my review up months after its release is because i wanted to rent it and watch it again to see if i missed anything... and i did.... 2 hours of my life i want back.

I just find that this wasnt humor. I would recommd seeing the 1st one... and even the 2nd one, but this one is so off base i dont think i would ever sit thru it again. I've seen funnier World War 2 movies.

but hey thats just my view of it. if u have a comment, feel free to let me know. I actually wanna hear what you think of the movie.

omg, I LOOOOOOOOOOOVED that movie. I saw it twice in the theatre and last night at midnight, my cuz's and I and my parents watched it. I LOVE that movie. But, I agree, it wasn't as good as the first ones, and I HATED that Scott turned evil. Besides that, I love it. Yup...

I don't know why Beyonce wasted her time with this movie, i've never been a fan of any of the Austin Powers movies. I've never been a fan of the Wayne's World movies either. Mike Myers is too silly for me & i don't find him funny. Beyonce is my girl & i love her but i think she needs to stay away from acting. Her Carmen movie that came on MTV sucked too. She's supposed to be working on a new movie with black actor Cuba Gooding Jr.

Same here. I've never really liked them. They are just not my kind of movie.

I thought it was ok, but it was a worse of the 3. I thought Beyonce was alright, she didn't suck, but she didn't really impress me that much either. However someone needs to let Mike Myers, that he does not have to play a new character in each movie. I did like the part with the Osbournes.

OMG! I loved this movie...I didn't think it was as good as the first, original, one...but I thought it was better than the second one...by just a little though. I guess I can't stand Heather Graham's character in the the second one...so maybe that's why I don't like it. I especially liked it when Dr. Evil and Mini Me were in jail, and they did that rapping thing...it was hilarious! "Put that in your pipe and smoke it"

I agree that it wasn't as good as the first two, but it was still very funny. IMO

We watched it today in english class. It wasn't that bad, but the first 2 were a lot better. Beyonce's part seemed pointless.

I loved this movie, I thought it was way better than the original. But the Second Austin Pwers was better than goldmember.

I thought it was ok. I think that it had some really funny parts, but I dont think that Beyonce's character was that greatly written.
