Somebody posted on how Chris Pirillo the "Call For Help Guy" is too happy!!! There is a show that I used to listen to on WGN Radio (Steve King and Johnnie Putnum) Steve King was/is pretty cool but oh man......His wife Johnnie Putnam has this overly happy giggly voice that makes you want to vomit sometimes! I am sure she is a nice lady, but she's got this "Let's all go out and play in the snow, WHOOOOOO! won't that be fun?" mentality. The other thing that I hate about her is she will laugh at her own jokes when they are not funny. And when someone asks a question and gets an answer on their caller line or e-mail she goes..........."WOOOOOOHOOOO" OR WHOOOO WHO!?" The couple have been doing their WGN show as husband and wife since 1984 and do a good job doing this Monday-Thursday nights. But why do some people have to be so "sing songy and simple?"
For example, I used to listen to their computer show called "WebSite Wednesday Night" and it was cool. But, when I turn into a show such as that, I want to hear about computers and web-site related topics. I don't want to hear Johnnie talk about the cookies that she brought into the studio, the damn weather-channel forcast 4 times an hour, or the same jokes over and over. If Steve and Johnnie take a call they'll say the same thing that they have said for the past 5 years....."Umm....poor Joe, (or whoever) has been hanging on, ummmmm I think since the first computer was invented." (It was funny the first 6 months....after 3 years it's not funny anymore!) They get off on tangents that have nothing to do with computers. They think that their computer guests are "Gods" (While very good, they are not Gods and I can think of a lot of things that some of the "experts" say that are easy to disagree with! I got sick of the wasted time and the simple talk. If you think Chris Pirillo is "happy" check out Johnnie Putnam! Jack |

I still find it so annoying. I remember watching MTV and Mandy Moore would come on and she's one of these overly perky types. It's irritating to watch or even listen to them for very long.

Let's all turn those frowns upside down! It's a beautiful day, the sun is shining, the world has unfurled before us like a flower, opening it's petals for the very first time to greet a gorgeous Spring morning... Christ, now I wanna kick my own ass!

Yep, I know. I like darkness and being cold and lonely, I don't like when people have energy and smile. I want to be happy and go places and stuff but I'm too lazy, I always think maybe tomorrow. I like darkness alot especially nighttime. I hate happy people. I like being alone, cold, hurt, beaten up, and lonely.

I like happy people. They make life a lot easier (at least for me). I love it when people smile and laugh because it sometimes rubs off on me! I don't like being in dark or being lonely. Jesus wouldn't want that! Besides, I don't wanna be miserable. Being miserable is stupid.

It's not that I am jealous of people who are perpetually happy. In actual fact I feel quite sorry for them because they obviously haven't really lived. If they had lived they would know that the world is not a happy place. Maybe it's just where I come from - living in the middle of nowhere, having to deal with realising who I really am, stuck with parents who I don't get on with, having very few friends and noone I can really confide in - and maybe the majority of people are happy, maybe it's just me, maybe the world is a wonderful place and it's really myself who has never lived. Either way, I don't understand how it's possible to be perpetually happy. BTW Karli, with my first comment I wasn't insinuating that you are bitter or messed-up. But when I was your age I, personally, was a total mess mentally. Not that I'm totally together now but I feel I'm able to see things with a clear head. I hope maybe one day you will be able to aswell. Mossopp x x x |
