Default Storylines

What are the thoughts on the storylines you've seen?

Vicki Winters Arrives/Burke Wants Revenge (#1-126)
I've seen #1-60 and #123-126. The movement of the action is slow, but it's still pretty good. The acting is probably at it's best in this part of the series and the B&W episodes don't ever look corny lol.

The Laura Collins Storyline (#127-191)
I've seen #127-143. I love the character of Laura and the storyline is very interesting. The good acting continues and the special effects are good, probably because it's not in color.

Barnabas/Blackmailing of Liz (#192-275)
I've seen #204-223 & #251-275 (I'm gonna watch the ones in between sometime soon). Jonathan Frid, Dennis Patrick, and John Karlen (the new actors in this storyline) are good in their roles.

Search for a Cure (#276-365)
That's what I call it at lesat since it has no real name. I've seen #276-296 & #341-365. I like this storyline, even though it has no real point to it lol. It's just a bunch of subplots. I liked the costume party at the Old House in episodes #280 & #281.

1795 (#365-461)
I love 1795. I've seen all except #419. Lara Parker is great as Angelique, and the rest of the cast is good too. Except Roger Davis. But he's better as Peter Bradford then as Jeff Clark.

Dream Curse/Adam (#461-626)
The early episodes are good, before all the Adam junk lol. He's an annoying man made sociopath. The Dream Curse is okay. I liked Nicholas Blair. His character was interesting until it was all about Maggie Evans. Roger Davis:

Werewolf/Ghosts of Quentin & Beth (#627-700)
I love the last few episodes of this storyline becasue they are so exciting and well done, lol. Only bad things are Betsy Durkin and Roger Davis as Ned Stuart. Carolyn Groves was good as a AM replacement.

1897 (#701-884)
I've seen episodes #701-749. I love this storyline. Roger Davis is a little more bareable as Laura's boy toy. lol.

Ghosts of Daphne & Gerard (#1070-1109)
I've seen #1107-1109. They're pretty good. Can't really judge by those though lol. Kate Jackson does a good job as Daphne.

1840 (#1109-1198)
I've seen #1109-1121. Of the new comers, I think Virginia Vestoff was very good. I hope to see more of this storyline in the future.

The ones that I've watched are:

1795 (#365-461)
I love this storyline. This is what brought me back into the show. I would ALWAYS get into the show then out of it and then back into it again. But I love this one.

Dream Curse/Adam (#461-626)
I hate this storyline. Sorry fans but that whole Adam crap ruined it. It was great seeing Angelique and all but I couldn't stand watching Adam.

Werewolf/Ghosts of Quentin & Beth (#627-700)
Werewolf storyline is ok but I love Quentin & Beth. They were a little puzzling at first but I like it.

1897 (#701-884)
My favorite storyline so far. I love Magda and it is great seeing Barnabas as a vampire again. It is like watching it from the beginning when Barnabas first arive in the show.

The other storyline I watched was The Levithan storyline but it's been too long ago I can't really remember all of it.

It also got me into the show. The first 25 I saw that were right before 1795 were good, but I didn't know if it was just going to be a passing thing. But 1795 was really good. I loved how they told the backstory about Barnabas. Instead of being the old cranky mean Barnabas that they had shown before, this one was more sympathetic. And I liked how they did the character focus. Barnabas, Angelique, Josette, and Jeremiah were the focus of the first part while Millicent and Nathan were the focus of the first part.

Adam got so dragged out. His plot just went on and on and on and on and when it seems like it's going to end it just goes on. I liked the last few Adam ones though, the ones with Eve. She sure told him off good. *Gives Eve Handclap* Jeff Clark got drawn out too. Vicki was like his side kick instead of the main focus. Sometimes I wish the car Barnabas and Vicki were driving in at the very beginning actually hit Jeff. But no Vicki just had to be nice and crashed into a tree instead. *Shrug*

I also preferred Quentin/Beth over the werewolf. It was interesting seeing all the events happening at Collinwood during the haunting.
