Post Forest Lawn jokes

Does anybody else find the Forest Lawn jokes that came up after Freddie died as tasteless as I do?

On today's Chicoless episode, Louie tells Ed that without Raul all he'll have to look forward to is Forest Lawn.

To which Ed replies, "At least at Forest Lawn the neighbors keep their mouths shut."

And in another Chicoless episode, Ed tells everyone in the garage that they're being so noisy they'll "wake up Forest Lawn."

I wonder why the writers inserted these jokes in the months after Freddie died. I can't recall one Forest Lawn joke before his death. It disturbs me and I wonder why the actors agreed to say such lines...

By the way, Freddie was buried in a part of the cemetery overlooking the NBC studio where he worked...

If not tasteless, then eerie to say the least.

This is only my oponion, but maybe they meant it as a sort of tribute to Freddie. If that is true, I guess they could have found a better way to do that. I was wondering if they dedicated the first episode without Chico to our dear Freddie. If not, How would any of you word the dedication? Thank you for your time!!! Happy Friday! Have a great weekend, everyone!!

I can't imagine they really meant to be disrespectful-after all, if it weren't for Freddie, the show wouldn't have made it that far! (IMO). And I'm sure he was very much loved by all the people involved with the show. The references were probably meant to be small tounge-in-cheek tributes to Freddie; but didn't quite come across as so.

I don't watch the Chico-less episodes but I do find it tacky. If it was meant as a tribute there could have been other ways to do that. Poor Jack, I can only imagine how he must have felt having to say those lines.

------------------
Chico: Age before beauty.
Ed Brown: Pearls before swines.
VIAGRA: Nature's little way of saying "No hard feelings"

THAT show was also prophetic. At one point Jack looks up and says, "Well, Margaret, it won't be long now (till he dies) just a few more years."

And Jack died exactly three years later.

That is so sad. I wonder why they did that? They should've thought first...
