Other shows? - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

I think this question was asked here not too long ago but here goes.
i was always under the impression that sitcom always made shows ahead sometimes even weeks.
If they did how come there wern't more Chico shows.
I know it was taped before a live audience but i still thought they worked weeks ahead.
Does anyone know if they did that with CATM?

Actually, Joy, there were "more" Chico shows.

He killed himself in January, but the Chico episodes continued running, I believe, into March or April.
