Default Anybody Know How I Can Get A Grant?

I would like to know where can i get a grant so i can try & go to broadcasting school cause i wanna be a radio dj & meet & talk to celebrities. Entertainment is my life & i wanna fulfill my dream. I ordered a few grant books awhile ago & i got ripped off cause every company i wrote sent me back letters saying return to sender cause the companies don't exist anymore. I wasted a lot of money on grant books & got no responses back which pissed me off. They say there is money out here to be given away & i want to use it for a good cause such as going to school & having a career. I'm tired of working these minimum wage jobs going nowhere in life. I've already messed up my life at 26 cause i've never had a full time job, i've worked a lot of temporary jobs. Ya'll see how much knowledge i have about tv, movies, music. I wanna use that knowledge & put it to use. I wanna do something for a career that i can enjoy & i'm sure all of u feel the same. Entertainment is something i definitely enjoy so help me out people on where can i apply for grants without having to pay for books.

You can go online and use fasfa.com to apply for financial aid. I just got approved for grant money for the rest of the year and will apply again on January 1st.

Isn't financial aid the same thing as a loan? I don't wanna get a loan. I want a grant. I'm not trying to go to school & then once school is over pay back a loan, i ain't got money like that. I should be able to apply for a grant under low income people or unemployed.

I just got ripped off once again. I sent this company in Indiana $20 for a grant book for a listing of companies i can write to to get a grant & the website i went to is now gone. It doesn't exist anymore that quick. I'm not sending anybody else anymore money for a grant book. I'm tired of people taking my money & running with it. I don't have money to be giving away.

Isaiah, Financial Aid is anything that is given to you by the governemt. Loans or Grants. I am getting grant that don't have to be paid back and also loans. If you don't want a loan, you won't have to get one but go to http://www.fafsa.ed.gov/ and do an online application. Also they will want the schools that you are interested in going to. So check it out, man. Too bad about the ripoff situation. The bookstores do have books that can show you what scholarships to apply for and you can try fastweb.com for schoalarships. I applied for one by way of them. Hey, it doesn't hurt to try.

I don't want a grant right now to go to school, i need one for paying off my credit card bills. I've read on different websites for grants that there are grants available for paying off credit card bills but like i said i always seem to get ripped off ordering these grant books & writing these companies to get a grant & then i don't get one. It's hard to get a grant cause so many people are trying to get free money. How do u write a grant proposal?

I think you have fallen prey to (multiple) scams.

No one just gives money away, especially for something like credit card debt.

Face up to your mistakes, take what you can get (even if it's a loan) and if you work hard you should have no problem paying it back later.

If you honestly think someone is just going to give money away to pay off your credit card bills, then go ahead and keep wasting your money trying. Me, I think it'd be better to use that money as collateral for a loan or to pay off some bills yourself.

I can't help you with a website. If I were you, I'd try my best to get a job and pay off the debts on your own. jmo
