Last Friday (Not the one from a few days ago lol) i started to get a cold. It was just like a normal one for a few days, until my cough started getting worse and worse. Its been about a week and a half now and all my cold symptoms are gone, except for my cough. My cough gets worse every day, i wake up feeling like pure crap, and its getting to the point where my sides are hurting. Is This Normal?

That crossed my mind quite a few times, but im kind of afraid to, they might keep me in the Hospital, and thats not a good thing this close to Christmas.

Well I had that and i wasnt in the hospital.

You wouldn't be hospitalized if you had walking pneumonia.

Chad If I were you I'd DEFINETLY go see a doctor before it gets any worse it could be pnuemonia or bronchitis or anything like that it would be best to go see a Doctor so they can prescibe you some medication

Well, I havent quite finished medical school yet, but Id see a doctor. Meangya, like Im one to talk. Im not afraid of the doctor, Im afraid of the waiting. I hate the waiting rooms and hate waiting..its so nerve racking. And when I get sick with a soar throat, I just lie and say its not that bad. I had laryngitis in 5th grade and they did that throat culture thing (only took about 10 minutes..

) and ever since then I lie or refuse to get it done. Try some over the counter cough syrup and some cough drops (Halls! for menthol) for a day or 2, and if that doesnt work.. see a doc.

i had walking pneumonia before.. its not too bad. I still rode and horse showed and everything with it.. but with tons of medicine in me. You should go to the doctor though, and trust me they wont put you in the hospital if you have walking pneumonia.
