Question Nickelodeon!!!! why??!!

I LIKED THE OLD NICKELODEON BACK IN THE LATE 90'S. HOW COME THEY ARE STILL SHOWING THE SHOWS I HATE LIKE 'AHHH REAL MONSTERS' AND 'ROKOS MODERN LIFE'? I LIKED 'FIGURE IT OUT', THE OLD 'ALL THAT', 'PETE AND PETE', CLARISSA EXPLAINS IT ALL', AND OTHER SHOWS AND GAME SHOWS. I KNOW THEY STILL SHOW IT ON THE N, BUT EVERYONE DOESN'T HAVE THOSE CHANNELS. AND WHATS UP WITH THIS "INVADER ZIM" AND ALL THAT OTHER NEW CRAP??? I THINK THEY SHOULD BRING BACK THE OLD NICK AND MAKE MORE NEW RUGRAT AND HEY ARNOLD SHOWS. DON'T YOU AGREE??????????????

I agree that it would be nice if they showed some of the old stuff again, but I also happen to like Invader Zim.

I looooved the old All That episodes with Kel and Alyssa, and Katrina and that one black grl who i cant remember the name but she use to play Urkel. lol I liked their musical guests too, like Aaliyah when she was young and TLC....Leon and Christina shows were ok.....but it went downhill the season they got that really fat guy. I wish they'd show Rocko's Modern Life again, I loved that show

Thank you all for making me feel ancient. To me, the OLD Nick was before there was even an "at-Nite," back when it was simply "Nickelodeon." And the OLD shows were You Can't Do That On Television, Dangermouse, Pinwheel, Today's Special, etc. Suddenly I feel 300, and I'm only 25!

Some of those shows are airing, Nick and some of their other stations air a list of those shows, here are some of them that you mentioned which are currently airing:

Noggin/The-N Airs: Clarissa Explains it All and The Adventures of Pete and Pete and Many Others

Nick-Gas Airs: Figure It Out and Many Others

NickToons Airs: Ahhh... Real Monsters and Rocko's Modern Life and Many Others.

I hope this helps.

I'm a fan of the old Nickelodeon. I remember "Today's Special" and "You Can't Do That On Television". Also "Turkey Television."
But my fondest memories are of "Hey Dude", "Salute Your Shorts", "Welcome Freshmen", and the three original Nick Toons "Rugrats", "Doug", and "Ren & Stimpy". Also, I liked the Nickelodeon soap opera called "Fifteen". By the way, I'm 21, and I know that "Spongebob Squarepants" is doing great on Nick, I just wish they had time to air the classics as well. Let the new generation of kids watch the great shows, not what's currently on. But I guess times change. What can I do?

I had completely forgotten about Turkey TV -- thanks for that! I think back in the early days, a lot of their shows were Canadian (You Can't Do That on Television, Pinwheel, Today's Special, Tukey Television, etc). Perhaps that's the reason that those classics haven't resurfaced, unlike Clarissa, Double-Dare, and their later original programming. By the early 90s, I guess I was out of Nick and into MTV (which now also sucks), so I avoided most every other show that's been mentioned except for Ren and Stimpy. I vaguely recall most of them, though I have no recollection at all of "Fifteen." Does anyone else remember their first stab at a talk-show, "Don't Just Sit There?"
