I've no idea what cheese log is. Common sense would suggest it's a log made out of cheese but it's probably something totally different.
Egg Nog is an alcoholic drink that, for some reason, people only ever consume at Christmas time. I've never tried it but I think it's made from rum. |

Egg Nog is this milk like drink that can be spiked with alcohol or served sans booze that like Mossop said, is consumed at Christmas parties. It is usually served in a big punch bowl. That's a bit of an old fashioned Christmas custom however. I have never seen it being served at any party I have attended.
As far as chees logs go; well, I can tell you thier secret, but some things are best left to the imagination...

I'm afraid to drink Egg Nog ever since I got sick on it... someone spiked it with Puerto Rican Rum....
![]() As for the cheese log.... well it's a bunch of different cheeses combined, rolled into a log shape, obviously. They roll it in pecans or parsley. Or at least that's how I've had it.. |

I make egg nog with Courvoisier brandy. I put them in a blender to make it frothy, then sprinkle nutmeg on top. I buy the egg nog so it's not raw eggs like in the old days.
As for the cheese log, it's a soft cheese rolled in nuts, shaped like a log. I buy a high-quality cheese log, put it on a holiday platter and surround it with Pepperidge Farm crackers, pepperoni, olives, marinated mushrooms and artichoke hearts. The big question should be: What's the deal with fruit cake? I think those things are made to withstand weapons of mass destruction....that and Spam.
