40 episode marathon on WPIX (Dec 28-29) - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

WPIX WB-11 in New York will have a 40 episode marathon of The Honeymooners starting Saturday December 28th at 8PM (with 10-11PM break of the news) to Sunday December 29th at 5PM. First up: Ralph and Norton go partners on a new TV, but Ralph rigs a coin toss so the set stays in the Kramden apartment. It's not long before Ralph becomes a total zombie to the new medium, and all Norton wants to do is don his space helmet and watch “Captain Video.”

WPIX had a Addams Family marathon for Halloween, Taxi marathon for Thanksgiving and now The Honeymooners in between Christmas and New Year's.

I liked it better when they did it on NewYears eve through New Years Day, but I'll take it.

I miss it I though they were doing it ever New Year's Day or New Year's Eve. I will have to wait for next year. But that's a good thing now I can buy blank tapes and get ready to record, record, and record 40 hours of Honeymooners episodes back to back.

I wish to obtain DVDs of some of the episodes I saw.

But wish to be sure to identify the episodes I want.

The last was the tv commercial for the slicer/dicer and
Ralph can't talk.

It must have been at the end of a 2/3 hour run of episodes
during the afternoon.

Your help may unjar my memory and identify the story lines.
