do you know where that word comes from? its not a very nice thing, not a cool thing, not really something to be proud of.

--an area of a city lived in by a minority group, especially a run-down and densely populated area lived in by a group that experiences discrimination

--an environment where a group of people live or work in isolation, whether by choice or circumstance

those are definitions as well. and it's obvious that they were using 'ghetto' in a form of the 1st definition that I gave... so, shut up about jews and how terrible the word is...cuz that's not the only thing it means.

maybe it isnt the only thing it means but it is the orginal definition and the one that those other meanings root from. Im well aware of what they mean im just saying that the word has a pretty sordid past.
one of my friends who is jewish has many times been offended by that word and others as its pretty hard to escape the "ghetto" mania in philly.
I dont understand what is cool about being "ghetto", why claim to be that unless its the truth which if you are here, healthy, and not suffering iunder poverty it ISNT.
