Hello!
I'm wondering if anyone has any more information on the disappearance of 2 yr. old Thomas Gibson. This case is very interesting because his father, Larry Gibson, is a deputy sheriff in Oregon and him and his wife were all interviewed for the story. The police were suspicious of the father but him and his wife both claimed he was innocent. Then suprisingly the update states that he was convicted of manslaughter of his son (he's never been found) and sentenced to 3 years in jail (he's out now). Plus they said in the update that the wife (who was now estranged) changed her story and testified against him and his young daughter said she saw her dad hit Tommy. I wonder what evidence convicted him and what made the wife change her story. This would be a good book, and maybe it is one. I've searched the internet to no luck, but if anybody knows where to find more information on this case, that would be greatly appreciated. |

Here's a link that features missing children from Oregon. Among them is Thomas Gibson. It displays a computer-enhanced photo that shows how he may currently appear (that is, of course, if he is still alive).
http://www.familyresources.net/kids/OR.html Also, if you look through the site carefully, you will notice that it features a missing person profile of Jeremy Bright, who disappeared in the summer of 1986. (That case was featured on Unsolved Mysteries during the 1988-89 season.) |

I've always wished that UM provided more information in that update. I haven't found anything either, but will be sure to post if I ever do.

Nope. Still unsolved.
I'm pretty sure the majority on here feel that Larry Gibson is your guilty party... At one point, he was living in Montana about an hour from where I live. Kinda hope that's not still the case... |
