Post UK Vs. U.S.A

who thinks the USA is better than UK?
I live in the UK but when I went on holiday to America I was very impressed with how very nice people are over there compared to cold assed Britain.
So, what are you views on both countries?

I have never been to the United Kingdom, but I have heard many good things about it.

I may be biased because I live here, but nothing beats the good ol' USA!

With the exception of a few parts of Tampa...

well i've been there and found the people i encountered to be very agreeable, well most of them anyway. i liked what i saw. but i wouldn't leave the USA for good, even if you paid me.
oh by the way i love how you guys over there say you're "taking holiday" or "going on holiday" instead of going on a vacation, it just sounds better to me. go figure

I've never been to the U.K. either. I'm biased too, I love living in the U.S.A, but would like to visit the U.K. sometime.

Ditto.

I suppose it depends on where you go in both countries. There are jerks here too.

England was a place I never had a chance to visit in Europe while I was in the Navy. I do want to visit there, but would never want to live anywhere but here in the U.S. Besides, I've heard rumors about how lousy the food is over there.

I've never been to the UK either but I would love to visit there someday, Ireland and especially London. I think I could spend all day wandering around Harrods. I went to Germany a few years ago and it was very nice. I was impressed by how clean everything was and how well people kept up their cars. But like the others said I would never want to live outside the U.S. I've worked with people who were born and raised in Europe but now live here and they always comment on how much more money they have here because things are not as expensive.
BTW Peter what state did you visit while you were here?

I hate the US. I much rather go back to Europe or maybe somewhere in the Southern Hemisphere like New Zealand.

Well I've never been to the UK (even though I'd like to) so I guess I'd have to say the good ole USA.
