Default uh yeah... Christmas

I don't believe in God but my family does, so it's Christmas at our house. Hmm Christmas is just a stupid over commercialized lame excuse for a holiday, this was in religious peoples minds "the day Christ was born" yet people are worrying that there relative will find the new car they bought em for Christmas. It's soooooo over commercialized! Most people don't even know what Christmas is, they just care that they get the television set they wanted. I don't believe in God, but I'm sticking up for him lol. It's all about that certain store making the most money out of the holiday season, it sickens me. Go to church on this day and don't go out and be a part of this over commercialized piece of **** holiday, go to church and pray if you want the true meaning of Christmas. I don't believe in God once again, yet I feel that way.

Well Avril you may be right. As far as I'm concerned I do believe in God so under my Christmas tree I have Baby Jesus, The Virgen Mary and Joseph plus the animals and the 3 wise men. It has really gone commercialized with Santa and the reindeers plus loads of presents for the greedyand the needy but, I will always remember Baby Jesus.

Youre still not on, JennyLee!

Anyway, People are forgetting the true meaning of Christmas - Jesus. I hate the idea of Santa even came because that's all the world thinks about.

christmas is when we celebrate jesus christ's birth...it is also a time to give...just as the 3 wise men gave to the baby jesus, and just how God gave us his son.

tis better to give than to recieve.

and as the song goes...Oh holy night, the stars are brightly shining it is the night of our dear saviors birth. Long lay the world in sin and error pinning till he appeared and the soul felt it's worth. The thrill of hope the weary world rejoices for yonder brings a new and glorious morn, fall on your knees and hear the angels voices oh night divine oh night when Christ was born.

I can't believe I'm actually going to say this. But, I agree with Avril. (But, I do believe in God. ) Christmas is way too commercialized. We were sort of brought up to believe in Santa, but at our house it has always really truly been about Christ and His birth. My family is very religious, so that is the center of everything. And, my husband and I are trying to raise our kids the same way. To believe in Santa is okay, as long as we don't forget the real reason for giving gifts and getting together with our family and friends. It all really boils down to Love. Anyway, I hope you all have a wonderful holiday season, no matter whether you celebrate or not.

Well I do fervently believe in God, but I agree the commericialization of Christmas has really made people lose the true meaning of the holiday. For me Christmas has been a bit rough financially for the last couple of years but it still has been very good. My daughter was born last year and that made last Christmas the best ever. Ill admit when I was younger all I cared about was what I was getting, but as you grow, or most of us anyway you tend to realize whats really important like family and health and of course God (if thatswhats important to you).

I'm not religious and haven't been to church in years, but I do believe in God. However, Kristina's right, too commercialized. However, the only people I buy gifts for are my mom and dad and we celebrate with family, so at least we're getting together.

I agree with you to an extent. Alot of people have forgotten the true meaning of Christmas. However, i dont think the idea of presents and all that is bad. As long as you dont forget what the Holidays all about, than theirs nothing wrong with the idea of Santa Claus (Who i still believe in to an extent).

Anouther important part of Christmas is being together with your family, and celebrating togetherness. Alot of people seem to forget that.

I try to remember Jesus but i like the idea of getting presents and stuff better. In the words of Cartman...."jesus was born and so i get presents, thank u jesus for being born." I have a lil nativity set in my room and theres another 1 in this other room.

Ya I agree with you 99.9%. I dunno about believing in God though...I haven't exactly taken time to think about it.

I totally agree with you. Since my dog died I learned the true meaning of Christmas and now really don't care if people get me gifts or not. I'm just going to give alot this year. And, my other cat that is getting to be in her early teens now I'm going to spoil because she might not be around much longer since she is getting to be around old age. I'm going to give her canned cat food, treats, toys, anything I can think of. And, then I'll also get something small for my parents, my aunts and friends. My parents are in the Christmas spirit already and I'm sickened by it because I feel that they are denying the true meaning of the holiday. I'm not a religious person at all. Neither is my family. I have only gone to church like maybe three times in my life and it was only for Christmas carrols. I guess to sum up the meaning of Christmas: It doesn't matter how much you get, it matters how much you give.
