Halle Berry Shouldn't Have Won A Oscar For Monster's Ball - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

This movie sucked terribly & i hated it. The only thing everybody wanted to see was the sex scene between Halle & Billy Bob Thornton. I can't believe he went downtown on her. Puffy's acting was terrible. This movie just sucked all across the board & Halle's acting was nothing special for her to get a oscar. Denzel is the only black actor who deserved a oscar for Training Day last yr.

OMG!! I agree. I mean Nicole Kidman should have gotten it. Moulin Rouge was a much better performance then the whole monsters ball thing and YES I have seen Monsters ball to see why the critics were praising it. I had to turn it off after the first half hour. Blah, Nicole was definatly jipped i think!!

I think Tom Cruise shoulda stayed with Nicole Kidman, she's cuter than Penelope Cruz. Anyway my favorite Halle Berry movie is Strictly Business with her & Tommy Davidson. This movie is funny & i love it. Halle is so sexy & cute in this movie. This was one of her first movies.

Hollywood (and the folks who vote for Academy Awards) love it when a pretty and glamorous actress dirties herself up and plays a gritty rolein a low budget indy flick.
While i thought Miss Berry did a good job with "Monsters Ball," I think the academy was won over by the novelty of glamour girl Halle playing against type.
