Post I'm confused ????????

Now those who really know me would say --what's new to that one....Ha Ha.. But, seriously, I always thought after everything happened between Kathy and Freddie, Freddie Sr could still visit Freddie Jr, but the visits had to be supervised. But, everyone else is saying that he could not see Jr at all. I know Kathy had a restraining order on Freddie--not sure about why. Like I said I thought he could still visit Freddie Jr, but the visits were under supervision---from whom??? Can someone clear this up for me...

I believe I've read in the The Freddie Prinze
Story written by Maria Pruetzel (Freddie's mom) that not only wasn't he allowed to visit his son but that Kathy was planning on taking the baby away to Albuquerque to stay with her parents because she was having problems herself coping with young motherhood and that was what really the most depressing of all and the hardest to bear not being able to see his son on top of all his other marital and legal problems.

Just a suggestion, rather than post what you think you may have read in the book, can you check in the book first before posting. This will help prevent spreading any misinformation.

As someone who has read His mothers book three times i can tell you, He wasn't allowed to see Jr at all and at one point Kathy did take FPJr to Mexico for a couple of weeks but Sr got him back(that was a short time before Kathy got the restraing order)
Hope this helps

I believe it says in his moms book that he told her he was calling to have th ebaby brought back & he got his secretary to bring him back. So sad he couldn't see his little baby. I know it hurt him sooo bad.

Ok, guys thanks for your help, but I think I am going to have to read the book again. Joy, I think the incident you are referring to is when Kathy sent Freddie Jr to New Mexico to be with her parents for a while. Freddie missed the boy terribly and put Carol Novak on a plane to bring him back to CA. My question about the visitation rights still is not being answered. I thought he could come to the house to see Freddie Jr, but these were supervised visits. I could be wrong, but this is what is sticking in my mind. But, thanks guys, I appreciate your time and help....

Vicky39, you are correct, according to Freddie's mother's book, he was not prohibited from seeing Freddie Jr. The visits had to be supervised.

Wow, I didn't know that. I had read somewhere yrs ago that she wouldn't let him see Jr anymore & it & the divorce broke his heart & caused him to commit suicide. So many stories floating around, it's hard to tell what's accurate & what isn't. So sad what happened to our Prinze...

FreddieFan---Thank You so much. I thought I was losing my mind or else my reading comprehension was a whole lot worse than I thought. I appreciate it greatly. This is how a lot of false info gets spread. I cannot thank you enough!!!!!

Red face

What broke his heart was the fact that she wanted a divorce. That knocked him for a loop.

Yep, Jenny Lee's right I read that somewher too. I also read that when he got the divorce papers it hurt him so bad that he broke down & cried his heart out. Poor baby.

I read somewhere where he talked about how when he married her he wouldn't cheat on here & was very careful whenver other women were around that none of them ever did anything that could be accidentally mistaken the wrong way & cause someone to think he was involved with someone else. He adored her...

Yes, Cheryl, Freddie did adore Kathy, and I think that is another forgotten fact on this board. He loved her very much and protected her.
