Talking Wouldnt It Be Cool..

..if a network (ABC, NBC, or CBS) aired their lineup from any random year for 24 hours? Like, they aired the episodes that aired that day, the soap opera and episodes, game shows, etc..? If they did that.. what Network, and what year would you want to see?

Id want to see ABC. Tuesday for Happy Days. Id like to see it for when they aired Richie Fights Back, but Ill live with any episode! No wait.. a year later so I can watch Laverne & Shirley and Three's Company (my favorite lineup).

That does sound kinda cool, but I don't know if the networks would go for it.

That would be the best! Too bad ABC would never do it.

I'd like to see NBC's Thursday line up from the 80's.

Maybe that would get better ratings than what they show now.

I like this idea.

WHile I don;t think a network would do 24 hours of programming, I think it would be a neat stunt if they devoted a night of prime time (8-11) to a certain year.

Heck, they're always looking for something to show during the Summer, why not try this?

Good idea, MsConan.

Take the rest of the week off...

Similar to an idea I had called "It's Old to You" where all week in primetime are the best episodes of classics. Would be great, IMO.

That sounds like a do-able fantasy. (Nice adaptation on the idea.)

My pick would be:
CBS/ 1973/ Saturday night
The shows:
8:00 - All in the Family
8:30 - M*A*S*H
9:00 - The Mary Tyler Moore Show
9:30 - The Bob Newhart Show
10:00 - The Carol Burnett Show

Aahhh...good TV!

I actually think that is a great idea! and if you get this idea out there to the networks I can definitely see this as something they'd consider trying. I know that CBS does this with many of there soap operas. I don't know if they still do, but I know they use to play old Young & The Restless episodes all the time. I think you should email all the major networks with your ideas. You got nothing to lose.

I concur. This would be a spectacular way for the nets to do battle with the dreaded "summer rerun season"!

They were on ABC, not CBS.
