Question I've got a question about Freddie....

Has anyone ever seen the old Dean Martin's celebrity roasts. There was one episode that has our Freddie in it. I was just wondering if anyone has seen it. Thank you for your time!!

I have only seen the info-mercial for the tapes. There was only about 20 seconds worth of Freddie on it, but I have never seent the actual footage of that particular roast. I would love to though.

I saw that Muhammad Ali one. He was great.
I lent it to a co-worker and never saw it again.

That's messed up that someone had to make off with your tape, luvinjaun. I'll bet you're in 7th heaven with the Welcome Back Kotter fandemonium...I've been watching late night with my kids. They love it, especially my daughter, if she had a screen name here it would be luvinjohn. LOL.

I've seen the Roasts advertised on tvland but no Freddie int he ads...

Since we can't TVLAND anymore due to the trees blocking the signal, I had my parents tape the KOTTER for me. Thing goofed & didn't get it. I did get to see a few episodes while at my parents house SUn afternoon. It quickly switched from the travolta episodes into the non Travolta ones. After he left, I still watvhed it but it wasn't the same. I noticed. Jaun Epstien was cuter than I remembered. They should've had Freddie guest star on KOTTER. The KOTTER marathon brought back some good old memories of my teen yrs...

I recorded some of the Welcome Back kotter episodes too, and in one of them I saw that James Komack played Horshack's uncle. I think it was the one where Horshack was going to take the responsability of being the man of the house instead of her finding another husband right away.

Oh you better believe it. A whole weekend of Juan. I taped as many as I could. I wish I had a way to make copies for anyone who missed it and wanted the episodes. I think I have them all now. I used 9 tapes.
I would love to have seen Freddie on WBK.
That would have been great.

OMG luvinjuan, that would have been so funny to see Freddie on WBK. He would have fit right in...like going back to his old neighborhood in N.Y.C.
Joy, don't get a dish...Cheryl is having so many problems with her dish. My hubby and I were looking into a dish at one time and we were told by the sales rep. that they were really reliable...my Aunt Fanny! But the only reason I wanted a dish was to have the NFL season ticket...football is my weakness. My daughter is the same way...don't mess with us when the game is on. My hubby gets so mad at me during football season cuz if there's a good game on Sunday...church is out. I tried to reason with him by telling him that God is at the game but he won't hear of it. LOL.
I know that Freddie liked sports...does anyone know if football was one of them?

OMG! I'm all goose fleshy! LOL. That is so KOOL. My daughter and I are partial to Brett Favre...and Reggie White. Of course, Troy Aikmen is pretty hot as well. I'm a happy girl once again! All those who would have sat through 3 hours of football with Freddie...raise your hands. LMAO! I have one hand in the air and the other holding a bag of beer nuts.

Actually a dish has more channels than cable. The only reason I am having trouble of those with my dish is it's one of those big old dishes the huge kind & the leaves on the trees block the signals on the G1 satellite making it hard to get TVLAND & other stations on the satellites that are lower on the horizon. My understanding is the small ones work good & you'll have no problems. Some cable systems don't have TVLAND. Our local cable system doesn't have TVLAND. They don't even have service on our part of the road. Only in the 2 nearby subdivisions.

I've checked into dishes my opinion is (Just an opinion & not the gospel LOL!):

Big Dish-- I think they are mainly used in the country as alot of towns of subdivision don't allow them & only allow the small dishes.

The good thing about the big dishes is you can get feed of things like ball games & the small dishes don't have those, My hubby goes crazy on Sunday afternoon & evenings picking up the games on the dish. You can get satellite feeds of syndicated shows on it plus religious tv stations that aren't on the small dishes. That's the good points.

Drawbacks are: Can't have them in alot of towns or subdivisions; the leaves on the trees block the signals on the G1 satellite making it hard to get TVLAND & other stations on the satellites that are lower on the horizon like G1 in the summers...

Small Dish:

I like out of the small dish the DISH NETWORK which Mikes cousin & her hubby have.

On the $21.99 a month deal you get the top 50 chanlles & that includes TVLAND.

I don't care for DIRECT TV which my folks have cuz some of the channels they used to have when they had PRIMESTAR (PRIMESTAR got bought out by the dish network) they now charge ya extra for. TVLAND is not included int heir $21.99 a month deal. To get TVLAND you have to get a more expensive package which is around $40 or so a month. So I like DISH NETWORK better. If we could afford it right now, I'd love to have one & keep the old big dish too for the satellite feeds of the ball games. Reason I don't have the paid channels on my big dish is we can't seemt to find a descrambler for it & ya need one to get the paid channels...

So I'd say that you can go with a small dish like DISH NETWORK & it should work okay... Good luck!

Maybe you can tape the ball games on Sunday & watch them later? Thank God for VCR's...
