Smile Disappearance of Wendy Camp & family

Hi! I am new to the group but am a HUGE Unsolved Mysteries fan and have been for years. I was wondering if there was an update on the story of Wendy Camp who went missing along with her daughter and sister-in-law after a visit with her son. Supposedly her former mother-in-law and her had an argument and she dropped the 3 of them off at a Wal-Mart and they were never seen again. This story is so interesting, wondering if they were ever found.

Looking forward to being a member!

Welcome aboard, Crystaldawn. It's always nice to have new people become part of a site such as one devoted to the Unsolved Mysteries TV series.

I remember the segment on the missing persons case you mentioned. Saldy though, from what I can determine, the signs point to the "unsolved" status.

The link below is a profile on Wendy Camp's daughter, Cynthia M. Britto.

Welcome to the board, crystaldawn.

I remember that case you mentioned, pretty interesting story if you ask me. But like Kane said, there has never been a update.

My opinion; Wendy, her sister-in-law and her daughter were never dropped off at the Walmart. It just doesn't make any sense. Obvioulsy, if that happened, they would have walked inside to one of the pay phones to call home for a ride. If something had happened to them in the parking lot, somebody would have noticed, especially since it was in broad daylight.

Besides, I got bad vibes from Wendy's ex-husband in the segment. The guy has got guilt written all over his face. Somebody even overheard him confessing to kidnapping and killing the three women once and his defense was that it was possible that he might have said that once while being drunk.

The ex-husbands family knows more than they claim. It just seems like it would be too much of a coincidence if a complete stranger who didn't know them was responsible for their dissapearence.

were the two girls of blood relation to wendy's ex husband or were they hers? I think his family knows A LOT more than they let on. If you ask me, they should have been kept until they broke and told what they knew just for suspicion (sp) of kidnapping, murder or what ever. Surely to goodness if Wendy and the two girls were left at Walmart, she was smart enough to call for help, police, etc. Someone would have helped them out.

No, the two girls were not of blood relation to Wendy's ex-husband. Her daughter was born from another relationship she had before she met her ex. The other girl was her sister-in-law (sister of her second and current husband.) He asked her to go with them and he probably regrets that choice now.

Default Wendy Camp

Sounds to me like the mother in law and sister in law are lying. It sounds like a set up from the start. I bet they did go see the boy, but probably had something set up. What better way to get rid of your enemy. Families will do crazy things to rid themselves of "exes" that do not comply with their wishes. Sounds to me like the GROUCHY mother in law knows all about it.

I remember that seg, too! Nothing about the ex's family's story made sense!
First off, they claim that Wendy alone started arguing in the car with her ex-mother-in-law and ex-grandmother-in-law for no reason and kept it up for hours- yet her adult sister-in-law and young daughter were there . ..and they didn't report these two saying a WORD or reacting in any way to the terrible things being screamed. Huh?
Then, they were supposedly put out in the WalMart parking lot in broad daylight yet no one saw these three there. Wouldn't some curious kid or rude adult notice a woman with an obviously paralyzed hand and legs struggling to walk -along with the others?
Then, what galled me the most was the grandmother-in-law's hateful attitude! She all but said in words that the WHOLE disappearance was entirely WENDY's fault and never once expressed concern for their fate or hope that her great-grandson's mother and half-sister were still alive!
Yep, I agree she and her Wendy's ex gave me bad vibes, too! :
