Post Did Anyone Else Notice...

As I was watching CATM this morning (I record it on tape as 5 in the morning is too early) I saw the retrommercial from Alka Seltzer...the one of the poor guy who had to keep eating the "spicy meatballs". Did anyone else notice that the guy who was part of the commercial crew who held the "take board" and said "Take # 53" was the man who plays Rev. Bemis on CATM. For anyone who recorded this morning's episode, go back and check out that commercial.

I attempted to watch CATM on TVLANDS G5 satellite signale but it was so fuzzy cuz of being scrambled. I did see Freddie a few times & could tell it was the PAPASAN episode. I miss this ad due to the fuzzyness. I've seen that d before on TVLAND & think I've seen it origionally but had no idea Rev. Bemis was in it. Next time I see that I'll have to watch out for it...

I love little bitz of trivia like that! We should get a trivia thread going here like I've seen at some of the other boards. That would be so much fun.

I had to go back and watch some videos, but I saw that, too! Cool that you noticed that! I wonder how that guy that played Rev. Beamis is doing today?

Yes, He passed away on July 4, 1999, in Los Angeles, from Liver Cancer.

He was born Ronald Montcrief Stringer
in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1919.

Yeah, I know, I didn't think he was that old either.

I believe so. I know that Gabriel Melgar has to be around still...he should be about my age now...let's just say in his late 30's.LOL
but I believe the rest have passed on. I get the same feeling watching CATM as I do when I watch I Love Lucy...it's such a great show, but sad to know that they have all gone on to a better place.

Wonder how Mando has been doing lately? I am working on a site on him as well as my CATM/Freddie site. Since he doesn't have a site, he needs one.

I have an address and phone number for him somewhere. I e-mailed a friend of his one day and he forwarded my letter to Issac. Issac in turn, e-mailed me back and gave me an address and phone number to contact him as he doesn't have a computer.
