Default Best Solo Beatle?

What beatle/s, do you think, had the best solo career? In my opinion, A lot of John Lennon's solo stuff was right up there with his beatles work (lets try to forget "Sometime in New York"). Albums like "Plastic Ono Band", "Imagine", and even "Mind Games" were superb!! For me, George Harrison comes in second. He had some great solo work, most notably, "All Things Must Pass" and his last album, that was just release last month, "Brainwashed". Paul McCartney,IMO, never regained his Beatles form..."Band On The Run" was an alright album (nothing to write home about though) and he had a few good songs such as..."band on the run", maybe I'm amazed, and only a few others. As for Ringo...well, Ringo was a great drummer, but I don't think he could cut it as a solo act. he had a few good covers, but almost all of his originals were nothing spectacular.

So what's everyone elses opinion???

No offense everyone, but I think Paul McCartney's solo stuff is crap. What could you put on a Paul compilation besides Band on the Run and Maybe I'm amazed... Ebony and Ivory?

I suggest everyone go listen to some John solo albums.

I like George Harrison's stuff. He's my favorite beatle.

I have to go with Paul and Wings. A lot of great songs!
My Love
Uncle Albert /Major Halsey
Another Day
Band OnThe Run
Silly Love Songs

As much as I love John , George, and Ringo Paul seems to me the most memorable as far as songwriting goes!

I voted for both Lennon and McCartney but Lennon had more better solo work. It was a shame he was shot to death.

nah, Penny Lane, I have to strongly disagree with you. Paul's solo career consisted of nothing but dismissable pop fluff. ...
