Question Tabloids

National Enquirer, The Sun, True Confessions, Star...anyone read them? Anyone embarassed to buy them?

I always see an interesting story, but chicken out to buy it. Ive noticed, that like half the readers are older than 65 lol. I like the REAL tabloids, especially the BatBoy one. Ha, I checked out their website it was too funny! I bought a True Confessions 2 weeks ago too. I wonder, I KNOW theyre sent in.. but do people write them up fictisciously or are they like, real?

I'll read them sometimes, like if I'm on break at work and they're the only think in the breakroom. I never buy them myself though and I definitely don't believe a word in them.

I love reading The Onion on-line. It's so funny

My sister buys Star Magazine, and sometimes I take hers when she's done. I don't even care for the stories...so many half truths and lies. I like the pictures--who's with who and who's wearing what.
Jerry Seinfeld said it best in his 1997 interview on 60 Minutes. When asked if the tabloids bothered him, he said, "No, I think they're great. Anyone who buys them deserves to be lied to."

I love the tabloids. Well, I have to admit that sometimes I get sick of the ones they profile. It's like the only ones they know how to talk about now is J.Lo and I'm getting kind of sick of that. I might have to shop around for some more tabloids. The World Weekly News is pretty interesting. I think that's the one that has the weird stuff in it. I'm certainly not embarassed to buy them though.

Once in awhile. My aunt buys them and when I'm bored I read them.

I buy the star for the crossword puzzle. The other rags I might buy if I was going camping, ya never know when you will need some paper.

Thumbs down

I don't read newspapers myself. My parents buy the Daily Record (crappy Scottish tabloid) every day - I flick through it but I don't pay a lot of attention to it.
I would read the broadsheets if I had the time, but I simply don't.
I used to buy the National Enquirer for a laugh but everything in it is a load of bollocks - nothing in that rag contains an ounce of truth!
I don't care for the tabloids basically. I get the gist of what's going on in the world from the TV news in the morning before I go to work and I get all my TV/entertainment news via the internet.
That's all I need to know.

Red face

I've been buying tabloids for years but, that doesn't mean that I don't read other things as well. My father use to buy the tabloids when I was a kid. You know the 2 headed baby ones. I picked it up as a child and scanned them. I also love the crosswords.
