In the LA Times Calendar section last Wednesday, they had an article regarding Friends.
It said that even if the cast and crew all wanted a 10th season, it still might not happen. Because the company that owns the syndication rights (Tribune Co.) might not be interested in purchasing another season of syndicated Friends. Which therefore means NBC would lose a huge chunk of money if Friends went into a 10th season, plus I'm sure the cast would expect a pay increase for a 10th season. So only time will tell......But I also heard that the only one that's iffy about a 10th season is Jennifer, because she wants to start a family. But, that's kinda good news because I remember reading something about a year ago that said if all but one of the cast members wants to do something the majority always rules no matter what.

That is interesting. Did they mention why Tribune wouldn't want another season?

Something like they wouldn't need 10 seasons of a show. They wouldn't profit as much from it. It's actually a lot more complicated then I realized.
