I don't know if I ever saw a episode mentioning that Rollo was in jail at one time but I seem to notice that Fred always mentions that Rollo just got out of jail. I just need to know how did the insults about Rollo being a jailbird and a crook begin? I'm trying to figure out if I missed something in the first couple appearances of Nathaniel Taylor on the show.

I don't think Rollo was a for-real thug, per se, but he did have questionable methods for accquiring goods and services, so, naturaly, Fred assumed he was a crook. (and, really, your parents NEVER like your friends, anyway!)

Well I just always thought it was mentioned that Rollo did jail time which would caused Fred to constantly bring up the jail jokes. |

Hmmm...I don't think it was ever mentioned on the show that Rollo did jail time, discounting, of course the episodes where he, Lamont and Fred actually DO go to jail...

I just have to say that W.J. Griffin's answer really made me laugh....."a for-real thug", but you are right there was never an episode where Rollo was ever in jail, but because of how Fred thought of him, made him a jail bird.
Yes, sometimes parents don't like who we hang out with. Maybe it's a first impression thing or something ![]() ![]() ![]()
