I kno ppl that did...they looked pretty good...but unless ur planning to stay on it ur whole life then I wouldn't suggest it. See...like...once ur at ur "ideal weight" and u go off the diet, u start gaining all that weight back. I kno ppl who, once they started eating carbs again then the hadta exercise an hour every day just maintain their weight...
According to my mom, the best way to live is to just eat healthfully. I lost 20 lbs just by eating healthy during the week and pigging out on Friday. So...yea... Ok...I'm done |

My husband is on the Adkins diet. He's lost 35 pounds in 6-8 weeks. He's really happy with it. He eats mostly what he want on the weekends and holidays, though. But, I've heard that it doesn't work for women like it does men. Something to do with the way a woman's body processes food or something. Other than that, I don't know too much about it.

Isn't it not healthy?
BTW, has anyone heard of the Willette's food pyramid? Some MAJOR changes were made as opposed to the USAD 2000 ones.

Stevie Nicks has been on the atkins diet for 7 years. She's much thinner now then she was in the mid-90's. She reached 175 pounds in 1994. Today she is down to 140 pounds. So yeah it works, BUT it is also very unhealthy. I really wish Stevie would get off it. On her tour in the summer of 2001, she cancelled many dates because of illness, and many believe theat it's the atkins diet. Stevie is thinner, but alot unhealthier.
