Wink "MAD" about Facts

I found an article in an issue of MAD Magazine called The REAL Demographics of Various TV Audiences, which shows the real reason why certain audiences watch certain shows. They featured the real reason why people watch the Facts Of Life:

THE TYPICAL FACTS OF LIFE AUDIENCE:

37% *OTHER* successful dieters;

29% People who haven't seen the old sitcoms these jokes were lifted from;

11% Girls with nicknames that make "Tootie" seem dignified;

10% Folks who haven't noticed that these girls have been going
to school for 10 years;

7% Cellulite freaks;

6% TV viewers who think most sitcoms don't use their laugh-tracks enough.

EEEEEEEEVERYONE'S A CRITIC.

Angry re: MAD Magazine

MAD wouldn't be in business if it didn't rag on popular shows.

Well, like the old saying goes if you can't beat em then join em. Basically, if they rant on FOL they get a chance in the spotlight too.

They did make another comic called "The Fats Of Life" where everybody was overweight. But I disagree, about any of the comics they made towards the show, but I guess it's something you can laugh about, it's not meant to hurt anyone.

I don't take it too seriously, I guess, about MAD ragging on Facts.
They just want to be funny, and there prolly isn't too much that they haven't poked fun at. Even the greatest shows in the world they would have to satirize. Like...uh...what's a great show...The Sopranos or Sex In the City or something. (I need to get a t.v.).
You have to admit, there's a lot of comic fodder about FOL.

I love parodies of shows, even though I like the shows they're making fun of. These things aren't meant to insult fans, just to get a good laugh. Like MAD TV did a skech on "Three's Company", except it was in Spanish and called "Tres Companeros". It over-exlemplified (sp? lol) some of the things shown on the original series - i.e. Jack is a pervert during all of it, Janet is no fun, Chrissy is dumb and likes to jump up and down. But I still thought it was funny even though I love TC. *shrug*

I don't take stuff like MAD TV seriously either unless it is taking down a person or a work of art (such as a tv show, a piece of music, ect.) for REALS.
