Post Some comments on Freddie from Freddie Jr.

From an appearance on The Rosie O'Donnell Show

Rosie: Everybody knows your dad was the amazing Freddie Prinze. He died when you were just a baby right?
Freddie: Yeah, 10 mos. old.
Rosie: Do you get to watch the videos of him and does that give you a sense of who he was?
Freddie: Actually it's very hard to get footage of him, but I have seen a little bit and it does give you a sense of who he was but mainly you like stories, people tell you stories and you grab onto their memories and make them a part of you, With the good and the bad stuff, of course. He was a practical joker. Like my Uncle Ron was his manager, This the funniest stories I ever heard about my dad. My mom and dad were young. He was like 20 and she was like 23 and they were on an airplane and my uncle was like the adult. Well, he would always fall asleep and he would snore really, really loud ( he gestured with his mouth open). Now he's going to be mad at me. My dad he took a grape and dropped in his mouth and he choked on it and my mom and dad didn't even try and help him, they were just laughing. He was like dying. But I prank like him only on sets.

Thanks for the 2 Freddie Jr comments on his dad. I'll have to put them on my site!

Didn't know his new manager was related to Kathy. That explains why he switched managers...

Thanks for the quote wheeone,
It's nice to hear Freddie Jr say something positive about his dad and share a happy story instead of hearing him say"you can't miss someone you never knew."

It's just me again,
Freddie Jr says it's hard to find footage of his Dad,he ought to check all these sites out he'd find a lot.
There are sites on Jr and certainly Freddie knows about them,so he should investigate and see what they have on his DAd.
Also when was Jr on the Rosie show?Does anyone have it taped?

Joy,
This interview transcript was taken from the show that aired Jan. 13 1999. I agree, it's wonderful to hear positive comments from Freddie Jr. on his Dad.

Cool

I really enjoy those interviews you've been posting wheeeone. I wish I had seen them on tv. Next time you know when F.P. jr. is going to be on somewhere please let me know.
Also, it sounds like when Kathy entered Freddie's life, everything was switched - manager, secretary and who knows what else
to what she thought was best for him. Freddie must have really wanted to please her.

Freddie's manager is not related to Kathy. Freddie Jr. calls him uncle because he is very close to him.

Thanks for the info! I just figured Uncle meant related. Then again I call Arlo Uncle Arlo as a sweet Pet Name cuz in one of his songs he says kids listen to Uncle Arlo...
