Question about an episode: Freshman & Senior....at the end... - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

I was wondering if anyone knows.
In the episode Freshman & Senior(The episode where Mallory is paired up with a 66 year old lady) at the end of the episode the lady(Margaret) leaves to go out on a date with Skippy, & Mallory seems surprised. Anyway, after they walk out the kitchen door Mallory faces the audience & she nods & puts her finger in her ear. Does that have any significance to the episode? After Mallory does that, & the span of time is approx. 15-20 seconds or so, they then show the ending credits.
I wonder why she nodded & put her finger in her ear?

Hmm, interesting. Iv'e never noticed that. You got me kind of curious though so I think i'll check the episode out today and see if I can figure it out. Maybe it was her way of saying hi, or giving a secret message to someone like Carol Burnett use to do at the end of her show. Hopefully someone here will have an answer. This may just be one of those tv mysteries that we'll never know the answer too.
