A Sort of DVD Holiday Miracle... - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

Here's what happened:
My long-time girlfriend and I celebrate our anniversary (11 years)every October with great flourish and gifts. This year she did a whole DVDS theme for me. I won't go into a lot of boaring details, but one of the gifts she gave me was, "The Official Dick Van Dyke Show Book." Of course, I already had that book, because she'd given it to me a few years before as a birthday present, but because the publisher changed the cover, she thought it was a different book.
Over a month later, I took a flight to join her in Tenessee to observe Thanksgiving with her family. On the way back, the airline made me check my carry on bag, which contained the original DVDS book. When I got my bag back, it was opened, and the book was gone. Fortunately for me, my girlfriend had *foreseen* earlier that I'd need a backup copy. So, when I got home, I just pulled out my new book from it's little safe place.
More than a coincidence in my *book*.
