Does Anyone Know About These Shows?

I'm looking for a few shows, that I bet no one has every heard of before. This show used to come on in the late 80's and for the life of me I can't figure out what the name of it was. It was based on a teenage boy who lived in his basement and he had a robot friend, who looked the the robot in the movie Number 5 is Alive. He had a video casette for eyes, I believe. And the boys father, lived in a desert I think, and he could only watch him through a screen. And he never went upstairs. He always stayed in the basement, and his mom would send him food through a pipe! lol I know I sound crazy but I haven't seen it in over 12 years I'd really like an episode if anyone has it. Thanks a bunch. Also, does anyone know where I can reach mickeyfan@msn.com but that email don't work. I owe him money for a tape I want and can't reach him.
